PUC angels is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote education, impact entrepreneurship, the fight against hunger, and the strengthening of a national network of leaders, executives, students, and organizations committed to building a fairer, more innovative, and humane future.
Active throughout Brazil, with executives, entrepreneurs, diverse professionals, and students, PUC angels is today one of the country's largest networking and social transformation hubs.
PUC angels also has several programs to encourage participation and improve the job market in general, as described on our website. Participation in each of the programs has specific rules duly explained in marketing materials and on our website.
This Code of Ethics and Conduct guides the principles and practices that should guide the behavior of all members, associates, partners, and collaborators of PUC angels, ensuring integrity, respect, and transparency in all relationships.
1. General Principles
Our fundamental values are the basis of our actions and must be respected by everyone who is part of our network:
Integrity: acting with honesty, rectitude, and impartiality in all interactions.
Respect and Diversity: valuing the plurality of ideas, cultures, and backgrounds, fighting any form of discrimination, whether by origin, belief, identity, race, gender, or orientation.
Social Commitment: acting in favor of education, inclusion, and social justice, focusing on the collective good.
Collaborative Excellence: always seeking the joint construction of solutions and transformative actions, promoting mutual learning.
Legality: obeying current laws, internal regulations, and association norms.
2. Expected Conduct
Representatives, associates, and members of PUC angels must:
Act ethically and transparently in relationships with students, executives, institutions, and partner companies;
Comply with and respect contracts, brand usage terms, program rules, and internal bylaws;
Avoid any form of harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or intimidation;
Maintain confidentiality regarding strategic or sensitive information of the association and its members;
Promote the good use of the PUC angels brand, respecting its identity manual and institutional reputation;
Use official communication channels for conflicts, reports, or suggestions;
Avoid using PUC angels for personal benefits that are in disagreement with the association's values.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following will not be tolerated (potentially resulting in suspension or exclusion from participation in the Association):
Misuse of the PUC angels brand or name for self-promotion, political or religious propaganda not aligned with the Executive Council;
Use of the association for unauthorized commercial purposes, including internal disclosures that have commercial interests/of other associations without due authorization;
Misappropriation of resources, donations, or benefits linked to social projects;
Breach of trust or undeclared conflicts of interest;
Acts that may compromise the reputation of the network or its members.
Failure to notify PUC angels, at the time of entry or participation, of processes where the person is accused of crimes (criminal or administrative) with ongoing proceedings*
*It is the participant's obligation to actively notify, at the time of entry or when a formal accusation is made, the history of criminal processes (penal and/or administrative) to the Ethics Council for due evaluation of participation via email: (comunicadosetica@pucangels.org).
4. Relationship with Third Parties
PUC angels values transparent and ethical partnerships with companies, institutions, universities, religious entities, social organizations, and other agents of society. Every institutional relationship must:
Be aligned with the association's principles;
Be formalized with clarity and good faith;
Promote mutual value and positive impact for the community.
5. Governance and Responsibility
The application of this Code is a shared responsibility among:
PUC angels Ethics Council – responsible for evaluating cases, reports, and misconduct;
National and Regional Teams – responsible for continuous guidance and best practices;
Each member – responsible for acting in accordance with the principles established here.
6. Penalties and Sanctions
Non-compliance with this Code may result in:
Formal warning;
Removal from network activities;
Temporary or permanent suspension from the association;
Contract or partnership termination, when applicable;
Referral to competent authorities, if necessary.
Decisions will be made after analysis by the Ethics Committee and passed to the PUC angels Executive Board for compliance with the decision, guaranteeing the right of response and due process.
How the Penalties and Sanctions process works:
Received the report/information to be analyzed by the Ethics Council (via formal anonymous reporting channels and/or information gathering by the internal team)
5 business days for Analysis and voting on deliberation of the topic and due communication/punishment
Election of an executive team member who will conduct the application of the decision
After the 10 business day period for defense/counter-argument from the other party
After receiving the defense/counter-argument, 5 business days for the Ethics Council to deliberate the final decision on the case, which is passed to the elected executive team member in charge of communication and application of the decision.
Application of the decision in fact by the executive team member, not exposing the reasons, information, or motives of the decision to not expose the other party.
7. Updates
This Code of Ethics and Conduct may be updated periodically, with the aim of remaining aligned with the legal, social, and institutional practices of PUC angels. Every update will be posted on the website and other association dissemination points, and it is up to participants to be aware of the updates.
